You will absolutely not find such a quiet and wonderful place in the world! You will simply LOVE the way this tour has been organized. This tour is for those who want to discover the land of nomads. Kyrgyzstan is a perfect place for trekking over unforgettable mountains and through unbelievable gorges. There you will see the second largest mountain lake in the world - Issyk-Kul Lake. You will experience the nomadic style of life far away from the hectic of busy and stuffy cities. 

The guide will meet you at International Manas Airport and accompany you to Bishkek City (30 min. drive), where you will start the day with a breakfast. The entire day is devoted to a guided Bishkek City Tour, including lunch. You will visit the central Ala-Too Square, Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many others interesting places. Then you will be transferred to the Chon Kemin valley in the Kalmak-Ashuu Guesthouse, where you also will spend the night. We will visit the Burana Tower (minaret of the 11 century) and its attached open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors), on the way. 

Breakfast is served at 7 o'clock. Then you will start your trip to Tamga (380 km,6h) by car. We will drive along the southern shore of "the pearl of Central Asia" - Issyk-Kul Lake, which is second largest mountain lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). Dinner will be served in the Tamga Guesthouse, where you will also spend the night.

After a strengthening breakfast we leave the Guesthouse at 8 o'clock by car that brings us to the entrance of the gorge Jukka. We will hike through the gorge until we arrive at the foot of the pass Jukka. You will take lunch on the way. Jukku is the place of Kyrgyz nomadic shepherds. You will meet real nomads who still live in yurts and try national drink Kumis (alcohol mare's milk). Your dinner will be served in the open air. And you will spend the night in tents enjoying wild nature.

 

Morning starts with breakfast at 8 o'clock. You will have lunch after the hiking over the pass Jukku. Then you will continue your hiking along the Silk Road (7hours) inside the Ak Shirak mountain range (average level is 3680m above sea). Ak-Shirak is legendary for its mountain Chokoli lakes. All of them find their origin in glaciers. There is a great view over the majority of these lakes. After your dinner you will spend the night in yurts near these wonderful lakes.

 

Syrty Ak-Shirak(3000m above sea level) - From Ak Shirak, it is a 3-days-hike along the southern side of the Terskey Ala-Too Mountains to reach the foot of glacier Ashu-Tor. (3600-4200m).During this amazing trip you will also see our gorgeous Ara-Belsu Lake. Ak-Shirak is the place where ancient traders were hiding from robberies. People believe that good spirits look after you there. All nights are spent in traditional nomadic collapsible dwellings - yurts. They are made of felt and wooden frame without a single metal nail.

After a strengthening breakfast you will hike over the pass Ashu-Tor (4000m.) While having a picnic at this place, you will overlook the Ashu-Tor glacier. Then you will approach the Ara-Belsu Lake before starting the descent to Ashu-Tor gorge by passing through the spectacular Northern Ashu-Tor valley (7 Hours, 3250m). After your dinner you will spend the night in tents.

 

You will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock after packing your backpacks. Then you will start your 7 hours hike down to the Chon Kyzyl Suu valley and the old geophysics station (2650m). Lunch break will be on the way. Your dinner is going to be at 8 p.m. You will spend the night in yurts as nomads do. A yurta is a national house made of felt and wooden frame without a single nail. It is a collapsible dwelling of nomads. It takes only few hours to erect and to collapse, respectively.

 

Breakfast is served at 8 o'clock. After breakfast, we will guide you down to the hot water springs of Jeli Suu, (1 hour) where you will have time to take a bath. After taking lunch you will be transferred to Bishkek (350km) by car along the southern shore of celestial Issyk Kul Lake (1600m.ab.s.l.) via the outstanding Boom gorge. You will arrive in Bishkek at a Hotel **** at around 7 pm, where you will have time for yourself until your pick up at 8 pm. You will have a farewell dinner in a pleasant restaurant with a national folklore show in the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

 

You will be met by your guide at a Hotel at the pick up time arranged previously according to your flight details and accompany you to Manas International Airport.
