Our company will help you to discover one of the most beautiful places of the world - Kyrgyzstan, a unique country lying in the heart of the Tien-Shan Mountains. It is a land of contrasts offering multitude of spectacular landscapes: wide steppes, green fields, fast rivers,   sandy deserts, turquoise lakes, snowy mountains, an abundance of wild life with many rare and endangered species, historical and archeological places connected with the Great Silk Road and people preserving the traditions of their nomadic ancestors. All this makes Kyrgyzstan a pearl of Central Asia.

In the morning we will start our way to Karakol town that is situated on the eastern part of  the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake. During our way, we will visit the Burana Tower (minaret from the 11th century) and an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). Then we will transfer to the incredible and famous Issyk-Kul Lake - the second largest alpine lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). The Lake is also called "the pearl of Central Asia". You will really enjoy the marvelous view of the Tien Shan Mountains that is around the whole lake. Thanks to the salty water, Lake Issyk Kul possesses curative qualities. We will make a short break  on the way to give you the opportunity to visit ancient stone inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.). They were depicted by local tribes of Saks and Usuns  believed that Issyk Kul Lake was the center of the world. During the transfer to Karakol town you will drive along the whole northern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. Overnight will be in a guesthouse "Elita" in Karakol.     

 

In the morning after breakfast we will visit the Dungan mosque. One of its highlights is the fact that it is built in Chinese style without using a single metal nail. This will be followed by the visit of an old wooden Orthodox Church. It was made of wood more than 100 years ago and even nowadays attracts a lot of visitors. Afterwards transfer to Karakol gorge. It is an amazing gorge that is situated at the heart of the wonderful Terskey Mountains. There we can see Turkestan spruce trees that are widespread only here in Kyrgyzstan. The height of the tree can reach 18 meters and the girth of its trunk - 1.5 meters. We will have hiking to the foot of the glade with the name « Mokraya Polyana » (7 h). Overnight will be spent in tents on the altitude of 2790 m. above sea level in wild nature.

 

After breakfast in the morning we begin our hiking to the eastern Irdik Lake (3200 m, 7 hours hiking). We will climb over the pass Bokovoi (3300 m). During the hike we see constant changing of the landscapes. We will see steep cliffs and precipices, high rocks, green mountains; we will go through the juniper (archa) forest where a sick person starts to feel better. There we can see a wonderful and impressive sunset over the most beautiful peaks of Kungey Ala-Too mountain range: Fuchika (4010m), Morozov (3960m), 800 years of Moscow (3872m). Overnight you will spend in tents in wild nature.

 

Today we will hike for about 7 hours. On the way we will see a lot of edelweiss fields (the flowers of love which are in Red Book ) and pastures that are used by Kyrgyz nomads. We will see a lot of funny marmots at the altitude of 3650 m. On the way we will hike over Severnyi pass that is 3380 m. above sea level. While hiking at these places you start to forget about busy civilization and you can really relax enjoying the marvelous views of our Mother Nature. Camping at the altitude of 3300 m. above sea level. Overnight will be in tents. 

 

After good breakfast we start our hiking with descent to Diychin valley (5h) where a lot of dungan people live. Dungans are Chinese Muslims who were prosecuted by the Chinese in the 19th century and fled to Kyrgyzstan. Today we will visit a Dungan family, and you will try traditional tasty lagman soup. While hiking to the village it will be possible to meet several times real nomadic families on the way. They go to the mountains with their cattle and live in yurts each year. Yurts are collapsible nomadic dwellings that are made without using a single metal nail! Afterwards will be transfer to Karakol town (10 km - 25 min). Overnight you will spend in "Elita" guesthouse (1650 m).

 

In the morning after a good sleep and breakfast transfer to Kochkor. Being in Karakol we will visit a local bazaar and try national meals, for example ashlyamfu and shashlyk made of beef or lam. Then we start the way to Kochkor village. On the way we will visit Djeti Oguz Mountains that are very popular because of their beauty and, of course, you will see a famous Broken Heart Mountain. Then while driving along the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake we will visit a private factory for producing yurts. Your tasty lunch will be in Bokonbaevo village in Talgat's  House. He is a famous hunter with golden eagles. Hunting with golden eagle is very popular in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia. Talgat will tell us about this kind of hunting and in the afternoon we can do some photos of  his birds.  Talgat will also tell us the way he trains his birds of prey. After arrival in Kochkor village you will be told about national traditions and customs. You will see the process of making traditional Kyrgyz carpets and even participate in it!  Then during the traditional dinner in a yurt we will listen to a folk concert.  This night you will spend with the local family in their house.

In the morning you will have a traditional tasty breakfast together with hosts. Then we will drive to the capital of Kyrgyzstan - Bishkek City. After arriving you will have some time to have a rest in your guesthouse and then will be the last dinner in a nice national restaurant with national music. Last night will be spent in «Asia Mountains» guesthouse.
