We would like to present you a biking tour, which takes place in the celestial mountains of Kyrgyz republic. It is a perfect chance to feel the nature, because you will cycle in the places that are so far from busy civilization. Your route will pass along pristine mountain gorges where it is still possible to meet genuine nomads. You will see yurts - nomadic felt dwellings on your way. Yurts are the Kyrgyz mountain houses that are exclusive and their owners will invite you for a cup of tea or kumis (national staple drink).
Day 1: Arrival in BishkekYou will be collected by your guide from the International Airport of Manas and accompanied to Bishkek (the capital of Kyrgyzstan). The drive to Bishkek will take half an hour. Upon arrival in Bishkek City you will start the day with a nice breakfast. You will have a rest after accommodation in the hotel***, which is located in the calm part of the city. Today an excursion to Natural Park Ala - Archa will be organized for you. The Natural Park of Ala - Archa is situated on the Kyrgyz Ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan), 45 km. south Bishkek, in the Gorge of Ala - Archa. To have a nice view of this famous Gorge you will go on the top of the mountain. Transfer to Bishkek. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Overnight stay is in the hotel***.
Day 2: Bishkek - Naryn town
Breakfast. Transfer to the village of Kichi-Naryn (2351m. alt.). After that you will cycle down to the Kichi-Naryn and Naryn rivers confluence. You will cycle along the River of Naryn to Naryn town (alt. 2050 m. a. s. l.). The road to Naryn will stun with the splendor of its amazing mountain views. You will have many photo stops, because the whole way will be along incredible gorges. This day is an easy one. We will have lunch on the road. Cycling is by the main road. The town of Naryn is situated 2800 meters above the sea level and it has mountains very close to the town. It was built right along the gorge near the longest river in Kyrgyz republic - Naryn; it is long and narrow town. As nomads, this night you spend in yurts.
Day 3: Transfer or Ride Naryn - Tash Rabat (Stone Castle from the 14th century) caravanserai (130 km)
This day you can ride or drive, as you want, from Naryn to the Great Silk Way Tash Rabat Caravanserai. Tash Rabat is located at a height 3200 m above sea level, in the very heart of Tian Shan Mountains. This building has no analogue in the world, for the reason that it was made of layered rock and beside that it was partly built inside the mountain. The walls width is about one meter. For medieval thieves there are also dungeons. Totally there are 31 rooms. Nearby Tash Rabat Caravanserai in yurts you will spend the night. Yurts are nomadic collapsible abodes that are made out of wood without using a single nail and felt.
Day 4: Ride (86 km) Tash Rabat - Moldo village
After packing your backpacks you will ride from Tash Rabat to Moldo village in the morning. At the time of Great Silk Way this road was used by ancient traders. It is a nice opportunity to feel that you ride along the same way! On camels and horses thousand of merchants with their goods were passing there from China. This is temperate complexity cycling by the asphalt road along Naryn Valley. Night is in tents at the altitude of 1670 meters a. s. l.
Day 5: Moldo village - Son Kul Lake
This day you can ride or be transferred, according to your wish, (60 km) from Moldo village over the Kurtka Pass (3243m. alt.) to the 2nd biggest lake in Kyrgyz Republic - Son Kul. Son Kul Lake is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan that situated at the altitude of 3016 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by the mountains. Shepherds of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as grassland. The Kyrgyz nomads with their families started to come to this wonderful area for rest and relaxation. The first part of cycling to the gorge entrance is with a slight descent and easy. We will enter a narrow gorge with high sharp rock walls; in some places up to 200 m. through a narrow spot. Here a steep ascent to the pass begins. The descent is easier and shorter. You will be free to walk around and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its environs after our arrival. Dinner. Overnight stay (3016 m. alt.) is in the collapsible nomadic dwellings - yurts.
Day 6 : Son Kul Lake
Today we have free time in the Kyrgyz paradise after long bicycle journey. You will have an excellent chance to explore nature and the lifestyle of the local nomads by yourself. Optionally you can ride on a horse along the lake's shore, or just relax in the atmosphere of wild and calm natural world. It is a great opportunity familiarize with nomadic traditions and mores. We will walk among the Mountains of Tian - Shan where every nomad invites you to his yurt to try a piece of bread and drink kumis - national staple drink made of mare's milk that is fermented. You will spend this night in the tent camp.
Day 7: Ride Son Kul lake - Kyzyl Korgon canyon (80km)
After the breakfast we will ride in direction of the holy stones with ancient stone inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.). Afterwards we will leave Son Kul and will ride to the Djumgal valley through Kara Keche pass (3381m). It is a region of high mountains, snow peaks, rocks, red canyons. Upon arrival walking is in the Red Canyons. Night is in tents.
Day 8: Ride Kyzyl Korgon - Bishkek city
We will drive to Bishkek in the morning. Through the views of virgin nature you will be carried away by the wonderful landscapes. You will have free time in Bishkek to go for shopping and just to walk. At 8 o'clock in the evening you will have a dinner in a café. This night you will spend in the hotel***.
Day 9: Bishkek
This morning you will have a guided city tour. This tour includes the visiting of the Ala-Too Central Square, Art Gallery, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the Museum of the Kyrgyz History, National Concert Hall and many other interesting sights. Afterwards we will visit famous oriental Osh bazaar. You will walk there and bargain for different goods. Then we will. At 7 o'clock in the evening a farewell dinner will be served. Overnight stay is in the hotel***.
Day 10: Transfer to the airport
At the time arranged beforehand according to the detail of your flight your guide will collect you from the hotel and accompany you to the International Airport of Manas.
