There is great variety of landscapes and you will be amazed by rapidly changeable views on your way. You will enjoy your traveling in Kyrgyz Republic because this country is marvelous place for biking.
Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
You will be collected by your guide from Manas International Airport and accompanied to Bishkek (the capital of Kyrgyzstan). The drive from the Airport will take half an hour. After accommodation in the hotel*** that is located in a calm area of the city you will have a rest and then start the day with a breakfast. After that you will have an excursion to Ala-Archa Natural Park that is situated on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan), 45 km south Bishkek, in the Ala-Arch Gorge. To have a nice view of this famous gorge you will go on the top of a mountain. Drive back to Bishkek. At 7 p.m. traditional dinner will be served. Overnight stay is in the hotel***.
Day 2: Bishkek - Son Kul Lake
Breakfast is in the hotel. Transfer from Bishkek City over the Kurtka Pass (3243m. alt.) to the 2nd biggest lake in Kyrgyz Republic Son Kul Lake. Herders of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as a pastureland. The first part of cycling to the gorge beginning is with a slight descent and easy. We will enter a narrow gorge with high sharp rock walls, in some places up to 200 m through the narrow pass. Here a steep ascent to the pass begins. The descent is shorter and easier. Son Kul Lake is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan. It is situated at the altitude of 3016 m. above sea level and surrounded by the mountains. The Kyrgyz nomads with their families started to come to this wonderful area for relaxation and rest. Upon our arrival, you will be free to walk around and take pleasure in the untouched nature of the lake and its environs. Dinner. Overnight stay is in the yurt camp.
Day 3: Son Kul LakeAfter a long bicycle journey free time at Kyrgyz paradise. We will walk among the Tian-Shan Mountains where every nomad invites you to his yurt to taste a piece of bread and kumyz (national holy drink made of mare's milk). You will have an excellent opportunity to explore Kyrgyz nature and lifestyle on your own. You can ride along the lake on a horse, or just relaxing in the atmosphere of the wild, but calm nature. It is a great chance to get acquainted with nomadic traditions and culture. This night you will spend in tents.
Day 4: Ride Son Kul lake - Kyzyl Korgon canyon (80km)
Breakfast. Today we will cycle in the direction of the sanctified stones with ancient (dating back to 800 B.C.) inscriptions on them. After visiting this site we leave Son Kul and cycle to the valley of Djumgal through the pass of Kara Keche (3381m).Upon arrival we will walk among red canyons. Overnight is in tents.
Day 5: Ride Kyzyl Korgon - Kyrk-Kyz pass 3223m
This day we pass near the Village of Kyzyl Oi (red canyon). On the way to the village you will see famous red canyons, which are completely different from other mountains in Kyrgyz Republic. We will see also the rocks of different colors, pastures, panoramic views. Kyzyl Oi is small poor village in the mountains. There you will have time to see the countryside life of the Kyrgyz people and just to walk. This place always impresses travelers and they want to come back there one more time. Overnight stay is in the tent camp.
Day 6: Ride Kyrk-Kyz pass - Ter Jailak pass 2446m - Toluk village (50km)
Our today's rout will be difficult enough. En route we will meet the Kyrgyz herdsmen on the summer pastures (jailoo in Kyrgyz). They come to this place even nowadays and you can see their way of life. The Kyrgyz nomads always glad to communicate with foreign guests and they are very hospitable. You could see their felt abodes and ask them about their life. It will be also possible to try national drink - kumis. Kumis is made of mare's milk that is fermented and it has really unusual taste. Overnight stay is in tents.
Day 7: Ride and transfer to the Toktogul Village
We will start cycling after breakfast. Our driver will drive behind us. The road has an abundance of unbelievable views and you will never forget them. There it becomes clear that the best creation on our planet is natural world. Lunch. Drive to the village where we can take a shower or drive to the artificial lake. Free time for leisure. Night is in the home stay.
Day 8: Transfer to Bishkek city
We will drive to Bishkek in the morning. Through the views of virgin nature you will be carried away by the wonderful landscapes. You will have free time in Bishkek to go for shopping and just to walk. At 8 o'clock in the evening you will have a dinner in a café. This night you will spend in the hotel***.
Day 9: Bishkek
This morning starts with guided city tour. This city tour concludes the visiting of many interesting sights, such as: Ala-Too Central Square, Oak Park (Duboviy Park), Victory Square (Pobeda Square), the Museum of the Kyrgyz History, National Concert Hall, and the Museum of Fine Arts. Afterwards we will visit famous Osh Bazaar. You will walk there and bargain for different goods. At 7 o'clock in the evening a farewell dinner will be served. Overnight is in the hotel***.
Day 10: Transfer to the airport
You will be met by your guide in the hotel at the time arranged beforehand according to the details of your flight and accompanied to the International Airport of Manas.
